Trash Day Guide

Trash Day areas and route guide

Quick answer

Six areas span Animal Control to Raccoon Paradise; the demo was one of them. Individual later-area names are not published yet.

Official trailer frame: junkyard at night

One route, six areas

The journey is fixed: break out of Animal Control, cross the wilderness with your wagon, scavenge the junkyard, and arrive at Raccoon Paradise. The store page counts six areas along that route — and the demo you may have played was only one of them.

"We're excited to share that what you played in the demo was just one of six areas in the full game," as the store description puts it.

What is confirmed about the route

The team has not published a name-by-name map. Any list you see of six distinct area names right now is fan speculation — treat it accordingly until launch day.

How progression feels across areas

  • Each area raises the obstacle set. The demo taught planks and wagons; later areas add traffic, wildlife hazards and heavier terrain per the store page's description of the full game.
  • Checkpoints anchor each area. Bank trash, buy tools and repairs, then push on. The economy resets nothing — your money carries.
  • The wagon gets worse before it gets better. Loaded wagons are slower, and richer areas mean more tempting loot. Learned that the hard way in the demo? So did every reviewer.

The demo zone in context

The demo area is the game's first area, which is why it feels complete: it was finished first, patched six times between June and August, and reviewed by 629 players. Everything after it is new to you — and new obstacles mean new ways for the wagon to end up in the river.
