Trash Day controls and settings
Full controller support; minimum spec is Windows 11, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1060 or RX 6600 XT. Tune FOV and audio in the demo before launch day.

What it runs on
The store page lists a Windows-11-first spec sheet. Nothing exotic — the game is a stylized low-poly sandbox, and the demo ran on the same baseline.
| Setting | Minimum |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 11 |
| CPU | Intel Core i5 @ 2.5 GHz or equivalent |
| RAM | 8 GB |
| GPU | GTX 1060 or RX 6600 XT |
| DirectX | 11 |
| Storage | 4 GB available space |
Controls
- Full controller support is listed on the store page — gamepad and keyboard/mouse both work.
- The demo's HUD showed a small, readable action set: sprint (Shift), jump, an attack/interact button (E), and a hold-to-drop/throw input. Voice activity and emotes live on the hotbar on the left of the screen.
- Known demo issue: some players reported keybindings not applying in the demo ("Keybindings don't work for me" sits on the Steam forum unaddressed). If remapping fails for you, restart the game and re-apply — and report it with F11 so the team sees it.
Audio and accessibility options
The store lists two options worth knowing before you dig through menus:
- Custom Volume Controls — separate sliders, which doubles as "my friend is screaming" mitigation.
- Playable without Timed Input — a listed category, meaning queued/press-and-hold friendly inputs exist rather than frame-perfect requirements.
If the wagon makes you queasy
"Motion Sickness" is a real thread on the Steam forum (3 replies), usually pointing at the wagon's low third-person camera and physics jolts. Practical fixes:
- Raise FOV if a slider exists, and prefer a gamepad's smoother camera control.
- Play the demo first — it is free and the demo is the whole first area.
- Take breaks between areas; checkpoint banking is a natural stopping point.
Reporting bugs in-game
Press F11 to send a report straight to the team — this is the demo's own instruction, not a fan workaround. Wagon launching into the stratosphere? That is exactly what it is for.
Performance notes
The full game adds five more areas and a full soundtrack, so expect the demo's frame rate to be a best case, not a worst case. On minimum spec, drop shadow quality first — physics and animation matter more to this game than shadows do.
